Christina Hess is an illustrator whose work focuses on nature, animals and people, most outstandingly this series of portraits depicting famous historical figures reimagined as dogs, cats and other furry replacements. This series was designed and released in the fall of 2013 on Amazon and iTunes. Hess says that she enjoys incorporating detail and decorative elements into the work she creates, a perfect inclination for a hybrid project such as this. These illustrations are part of her e-book Animals From History. The illustrations are also available as prints and a calendar on the artist’s Etsy shop.
